For safety reasons, it is strongly advised to use a driver in Timor-Leste. Our drivers are familiar with the terrain in Timor-Leste, speak multiple languages, and understand the local customs of driving, parking etc which can be unique in Timor-Leste. Further to this, roads out of Dili are dark at night and animals frequently stray unto the roads, making driving a risk if one is not used to driving in Timor-Leste
